VitalStim Plus

ASHA Code of Ethics requires therapists to be trained prior to using any device/treatment
Open to all VitalStim Providers
Hands-on interactive lab training using the VitalStim Plus device
Learn to use 4 channels of NMES
Learn to use sEMG
Learn to use triggered e-stim to help the patient better sequence their swallows
Learn to manipulate parameters (frequency, phase duration, and duty cycle)

Lists providers who are current (within the last 3 years) in safety, efficacy, and protocols
Place for patient families to find current and qualified VitalStim Providers and facilities
Place for recruiters and quality assurance managers to validate Provider status
Providers can choose to be not-visible on the Registry and still enjoy the benefits of the Renewal Course

As part of the 2015 Accreditation/Specialty Certificate - requires a 3 year renewal
Ensure ongoing standards of safety, protocol, and efficacy
Providers who received their Specialty Certificate or Renewed within the last 3 years will be listed on the VitalStim Registry along with their facility
Receive an up-to-date manual - updated annually with new research, placements, protocols, safety info, etc.
Renew online or at a live course
Receive CE Credit (.85 online 1.6 live)
